Oh Christmas Tree.

We went Christmas Tree shopping on the weekend. It was our first time doing this and we loved it. I never knew it could be so hard choosing a Christmas Tree but we eventually found one that we all liked.
It was a lot of hard work decorating the Tree too - it took ages. lol. We did play Christmas music while decorating so that really got us in the mood.
It took forever to find our decorations but we eventually did find them, only to see there were no lights lol. (I have no idea where they are). So we took a quick trip to the shop and got some lights plus a few more decorations.
Loved how it turned out.

So happy he's holding my hands in this pic. I love it!

I like THIS one. Funny little man.

It's in YAY!

The tree is up and ready to decorate.

All done.

Ladies Nelson Trip.

We were lucky enough to be gifted with a trip to Nelson by my mum. Just a weekend away with the 4 of us.
It turned out lovely - we got to relax, shop and eat good food! I must say, so far the best food in New Zealand has to be in Nelson.
Our road trip there took about 7hrs as we stopped at all tourist spots and then about 4 hours back home.
Love going to Nelson!

A stop in Kaikoura to visit the Seal Colony. So cute!

View in Kaikoura.

Dinner when we got to Nelson - I had the Salmon. It was so delicious!

My gran had battered scallops.

This was our view while having dinner.

Nelson you beauty!

Lake Brunner

Hi...
We were so excited to visit Lake Brunner this long weekend. It was our first official camp experience in New Zealand after nearly 6 years living here.
We were lucky enough to rent a permanent caravan from friends of friend who had their permanent caravan right next to ours.
Lake Brunner is BEAUTIFUL!!! It's a tiny town that has a massive lake surrounded by mountains. Such a peaceful place.
We were also lucky enough to go on a boat (owned by our friends) and sit on a private beach and relax. The water was COLD but Jude swam anyways and I kind of went about thigh deep (too cold to go further lol). That was our first day there.
The next day started off sunny so Jude and Brennen went to go fishing in the boat but unfortunately didn't catch anything, then after that it rained all night and the next day.
I was still a lovely experience and we are definitely going back soon - hopefully for a week after Christmas. yay!
Here are some pics from our weekend...

Off he goes.

He loved it.

My New Favorite Word...

I discovered a word this week that I'm absolutely in love with...
Sophrosyne (suh-fros-uh-nee)
Looking up the meaning there are many ways of explaining it - but this picture breaks it down in a way that I would love to live!

Home Updates...

We decided to give our bathroom a bit of a theme as it was looking a bit clinical and boring. So we decided on grey and yellow to make look more cohesive.
We also updated our office nook as it was a big mess. It's all organized now with a bit of rearranging and throwing away of papers and junk.
Lastly, my mom got us this beautiful duvet. Love the stag heads and patterns - a bonus -this duvet is so soft and lush. Mmmm.
