On Monday it was a holiday and we decided to take a drive to Akaroa - a beautiful little town that's an hour outside of Christchurch. It was a very HOT day and I had woken up with a migraine, that just didn't seem to go away the whole day even after taking tabs :( But we still had fun.

Cute baby goat.
Jude's first pony ride - look how stoked he is.
Ice-cream as always.
Beautiful little cafe, where a much needed coffee was.
Coffee to help my migraine.
My beautiful boys.
Some curios from the shops.
Jude playing at the park.

Beautiful Akaroa.
Loved the wrapper of this chocolate that I bought for Calley.
A very rare food source in NZ - when u see it you buy it, and it did not disappoint!
Jude passed out on the way home, how cute is the way he's sleeping :)

Jude's school had a Grandparents day today and we had to bring a plate of eats, so I decided to attempt rainbow, jelly oranges. It was fun to make, but I won't be doing it again in a hurry haha, plus I discovered I had a cut on my finger after cutting the first orange, which got numb after the 6th orange haha. It turned out to be a hit and almost all the kids had one on their plate. Nice to see :)

Went to the women's expo on Sunday and found out we weren't allowed any cameras :( So afterwards we went to this really vintage coffee shop that was mix and match with an old fashioned vibe. Loved it. So I acted like a real tourist and took some pics of the plc.

Little lamps everywhere.
Funky lighting.
Ppl laying outside on the grass area.
More lamps.
Me.
Milkshakes served in milk bottles.
When you plc and order you take a flag of a country for your table so they know where you are.
My drink - loving feijoa lately.
Cute kids menu.
Vintage spoons with your coffee.

Friday night while the guys watched rugby, we got stuck in to 2 rounds of scrabble which included cake, chips, coffee and laughter. Lots of fun!

Marchelle's Nigella choc cake, the most moist, chocolatey, delicious cake I've ever had!!!
My aunt got an Ipad2 that came with her new  bed she bought, which came in handy for a few things like reading a story to Jude before bed and then as a dictionary for Scrabble. Yes I want!
Enjoying some Scrabble.
My letters. Q is always handy.
