So we went away this last weekend - took a trip to Dunedin where my cuz lives - we were supposed to leave Saturday morning early but we decided to leave Friday afternoon which actually turned out better because it made the weekend feel longer. All in all we had a wonderful time and a much needed time.

We were spoiled with a beautiful sunset on our way to Dunedin.
This was our room - it was huge! Mainly because the ceilings were so very high.
Our bed (this was taken the day we were leaving to go home)
The massive passage way.
The living room with a nice warm fireplace which you cant see in this pic.
Then we booked to do the cadbury factory tour and this is what we saw when we came in  - a crunchie  mountain as they call it. Unfortunately Jude was petrified to go on the tour so myself and Jude got our refund and waited for everyone until they got back - but we did spend our refund on super cheap chocolate and a cool cadbury mug for Jude.
After Cadbury's we went to the museum which has a beautiful butterfly forest which freaked us all out because the butterflies would just land on you - beautiful to watch but freaky to be in it. Oh and it reminded me of Durban because it was sooo humid in there :)
Then after that we attempted the steepest residential road in the world - it doesn't look steep here but coming down after taking ages to get up, our legs were shaking every step down and my calves were sore for 3 days after :) We also got a certificate to say we walked it which was cool.
Jude and Calley waited in the care while we walked the steepest road and they had there own fun while waiting .
In the afternoon we took a walk through the reserve - the house we were staying in was on the right where the hedge is, so it was really nice to have the reserve right there...
There was also a park in the reserve.
It had beautiful hidden pathways (this was at day time) and after coming out of a pathway we found a beautiful pond with ducks, which Brennen and Jude found the day before so we took some bread.
The hidden pond.
Jude laughed every time this duck went under which made us laugh too.
On our way back I stepped right into muddy slush, it was all inside my shoe too :(
This is a bit of what Dunedin looks like, very hilly and lots of old houses - our holiday house is right there on the left.

On our way home we stopped in Oamaru, they have a section by the harbour called Victorian Oamaru , where they kept the old buildings and created old style shops - some of the people were even dressed victorian - so pretty. Oh and it was Monday (public holiday) for the queens birthday, that's why they have red blue and white flags everywhere.
A cute market in a warehouse.

Sweet old man playing the piano.

My cutie-pie and his Mickey.
My handsomes.

Family pic.
Jude took this pic of us.
Little poser.
Free cake and a flag for the queens birthday - I had  piece of cake and Jude took a flag - weird haha.
On our way home we got to see a beautiful huge moon rise - our house is right there.
